Mildly Disruptive

ME/CFS desperately needs media coverage to raise awareness, but almost all reporting on the illness hurts the patient community because it grossly understates the seriousness of the disease. This Today Show segment of June 20, 2011 on ME/CFS is no exception. They interviewed a patient who was running on the beach (!) and saying that the illness was “mildly disruptive” for her. It is like the media is going out of its way to misinform the public about the misery that is ME/CFS.
